A family theatre group that goes back many generations, Sri Venkateswara Surabhi Theatre is one of the most renowned company theatre troupes across the world. With a repertory of plays based in Hindu mythology and Puranas, this travelling troupe takes their plays across the country, including performing at internationally-recognized festivals such as the Bharat Rang Mahotsav and Bahuroopi, among others. The 6th-generation director, Surabhi Jayachandra Varma, who currently leads the troupe, is a recipient of the prestigious Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar Award, 2016.
Ranga Shankara AHA!'s "Little Cloud", our signature storytelling programme, is back with Series 3, and this time, 13 storytellers come together to perform 14 stories for children aged 4 and above. These stories are a delightful mix of 6 languages (Kannada, English, Tamil, Hindi, Marathi, and Telugu) and the classical Indian tradition of Kutiyattam - the perfect holiday gift for those young of age and young of heart!
