The Creature That Nobody Saw PART 1 by Garlic Theatre. Join Garlic Theatre for the first zoom workshop session for Skipton Puppet Festival on Tuesday 10th August! We will be showing this film as part of the session and then it will be available for everyone to view after that.

Somehow there is always a sock missing – where are they all, where do they go? Mark and Iklooshar from Garlic Theatre have created three imaginative and gentle short films about the adventures of a strange creature living secretly in a house. Why not make your own set and puppets at home to create a little puppet show about your own creature living in your house guided by our helpful PDF's? Here are some tips on how to use the films and PDF's to help you do this. We recommend watching Part 1 and then looking at the first PDF of activities which will help you make a little den for your creature. Then you can watch Part 2 and look at the second PDF of instructions which will guide you to make your own puppet of your very own creature to live in the den you have made earlier. After watching Part 3, the third PDF will give you helpful tips on creating your own story and puppet show. Let your imagination go wild and create and perform your own wonderful and beautiful stories. This film is the first in a trilogy of imaginative puppetry films without words which was commissioned and funded by The Library Presents… In Your House autumn programme in 2020. Puppetry Mark Pitman
Edited and filmed by Iklooshar Malara
Music by Iklooshar Malara
Special thanks to Rene Baker for helping to puppeteer and for the use of her Baker Studios in Diss.

Adventure Time

This term, our Spectrum Youth Theatre has run online. Over a series of 8 sessions, participants worked with Smoking Apples Theatre Company to create a digital comic book all about superheroes. This is the result! Spectrum is Little Angel Theatre's weekly club for high-functioning teens on the autistic spectrum. Each term they work with artists and theatre makers to create puppets, devise stories and create shows and films. You can find out more here: http://bit.ly/2dusU7g Smoking Apples produce high quality theatre, that more often than not, works with difficult, hard-to-digest subject matter. Using puppetry and visual theatre, the company create innovative shows, making their subjects enjoyable and accessible for audiences. They combine puppets, live actors and an identifiable and unique style of movement. www.smokingapplestheatre.com. Little Angel Theatre Twitter: https://twitter.com/LittleATheatre
