Shake, Stretch, Warm Up

We have created a short video warm-up, which we recommend you follow and complete 15mins before the start of your dance session to make sure your body is ready to get moving and to minimise any risk of injury. We also recommend you wear comfortable clothing and work in a clear, open space. [Please note: This video was originally recorded ahead of a live Zoom session. Please disregard the reference to a 4pm session at the end of the video since this is now out of date.] Our Learning, Education and Participation (LEAP) team have created a series of online tutorials from home to help your flex your creative muscles while the Theatre is closed. Visit cft.org.uk/take-part to learn more about the work of the LEAP department and our outreach projects. If you can, please help us by making a donation to our special emergency appeal to support some of the vital work we’re doing to keep people connected. Visit cft.org.uk/keep-CFT-connected to donate. Situated in a cathedral city in West Sussex between the South Downs and the sea, the Festival Theatre’s bold thrust stage design makes it one of England’s most striking playhouses; a studio theatre, the Minerva Theatre, sits nearby.
