The fabulous Clementine (the living fashion doll) shows us how to make Indonesian style rod puppets! In this first part, Clem starts us off with the puppet body made from a large drinks bottle!

This make is slightly more advanced than some of our others, for example there are some tricky bits of cutting, so we suggest that it's more for adults and older children.

Learn how to turn cardboard tubes into a dynamic, double-rod puppet shark!

We suggest some one-to-one time if you're making this puppet with a younger child, as there are a couple of fiddly bits. But once they're made, these fearsome fish are super fun to play and perform with.

Our followers may want to pick up a pack of bamboo skewers from their local supermarket, as they will come in handy for quite a few of our makes.

This is our first in a series of makes inspired by our show Thumbelina.

Today we're making a flappy dragonfly puppet, just like the one who rescues Thumbelina in the show.

These are great puppets to make as part of a project exploring insects. They're also great fun to fly around the garden!

It's time for our next Thumbelina make. In this video, Zara creates a cute little worm puppet, using just 3 materials!

A good one to practice those puppeteering skills on. Can you make your worm crawl like Zara's?

Zara makes a simple flappy bird puppet.

We've kept this one short so you can get creative with your own decorating ideas. Zara has used tissue paper to collage her feathers, but you can use crafting feathers or coloured paper, or you can draw straight onto your paper.

Just remember to keep the decorations light-weight so your bird can still flap and fly!

You can make any type of bird you like, but if you're making a swallow like the one in the show, don't forget the long, forked tail!

A simple finger puppet creation which can be adapted to make other snappy animals such as wolves, foxes and crocodiles.

This make has been inspired by Norwich's own Snap the dragon, who usually parades the streets of Norwich once a year as part of the Lord Mayor's celebrations.
